The Canberra Home and Leisure show took place on the last weekend of October and included many exhibitors such as home, leisure, 4WDing, caravanning and camping. East Gippsland Marketing, alongside East Gippsland Shire, attended the festival to demonstrate to visitors what East Gippsland has to offer.
As well as displaying a large map outlining East Gippsland’s location, ‘Samson’ the tug boat was the feature piece for the EG stall, and helped to position East Gippsland as a boating destination.
Maps and Visitor Guides were handed out to consumers who were willing to know more about the region and to those who were interested in visiting. Also distributed were the ‘Mallacoota Deals Brochures’ that were created specifically for the event by East Gippsland Marketing and Destination Gippsland. The brochures featured ten accommodation operators from Cape Conran, Gipsy Point and Mallacoota, with Croajingolong National Park also featured in the brochure as a ‘must-do’ activity for visitors.
East Gippsland Marketing endeavours to attend the event again in the future, to further promote our region to the Canberra market.
